A poem about my struggle with depression.

Have you ever seen those "inspiring" posts that just aren't inspiring because they're so completely unaware of what it's like to live with mental illness?
In this poem I tried to create a collection of alternative inspirations - thoughts that don't assume you can just choose to be happy, or go out to nature instead of taking antidepressants. It's more complicated than that.

From The Ashes​

A poem inspired by a Jewish wedding that took place in Rozmberk, Czech Republic.

On the same trip we learned a lot about the history of Sudetenland during WWII, and it was so inspiring to experience the contrast between what had once been, and what we are now able to have without fear.
